Using the Editor

A GUIDE TO THE EDITOR

VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS OFFER ADVISE ON HOW TO USE BOTH THE MOBILE FRIENDLY UPLOADER AND THE FULL EDITOR.

Options before beginning
  • If you want the editor to show grid squares as a point of reference to help you align images and text, simply click the “Show grid” option in the “LAYERS” window at the top right of the editor window.
  •   If the “LAYERS” window seems to be in your way when editing your images / text, simply click where it says “LAYERS” and the box will dissapear, click again to re-appear.

 

The “LAYERS” Box
  • At the top right of the editor window there is a little drop down box with the word LAYERS on top of it. 
  • This box allows you to make grid squares visible on the editor window, delete selected items from the editor window, add a shadow effect to the selected image / text and even change the opacity of the selected image / text (so it can be placed on top of another image without blocking it entirely).
  • To show grid squares – click show grid, click again to hide them (the grid squares will not be printed on your transfer – they are for your reference only.
  • To delete an image / text from the editor window – select that image / text box from the list and then click the blue circle “X” at the bottom left of the layers window.
  • To add a shadow effect to an image / text – select that image / text from the list and click shadow, ON. 
  • To change the opacity of an image / text – select that image / text from the list and select your chosen degree of opacity (100% = not see through at all, 10% = almost completely see through).
Adding images
  • Either  –  Choose from a selection of great images in the “Our Images” section in the scroll bar at the bottom – click the image you want to make it appear in the editor window.
  • Or    –  Click “Upload Images” and then click the upload box to choose your own image – select your image, it will now be shown in the bar at the bottom of the editor, simply click it to make it appear in the editor window.
Moving, rotating and resing your image(s)
  • Hover your cursor over your image in the editor window. 
  • Simply use the double ended arrow (bottom right of your image) to resize your image to the size of your choice, use the curved arrow (top right) to rotate your image into the position you wish it to be in.
Adding text
  • If you want to add text to your transfer – cick the “Text” option along the bottom task bar.
  • Type your text in the box where it says “sample text”, select your required font size, font type and colour from the options and then click “Add text” to make it appear in the editor window.
  • Your text box can be dragged and rotated in to position in the same way as your image was – but it cannot be resized in the same way.
  • If you have made a mistake and need to edit the text in any way i.e. change spelling, change font size, font type or colour – simply click the blue pencil in the bottom right corner of your text to 
Changing background colour
  • Light garment transfers have a default clear background. Meaning that if you do not add a background colour, just your image and text will be visible when ironed on to your garment. (Any white colour comes from your garment itself).
  • Dark garment transfers have a default white background. Meaning that if you do not add a background colour then any unprinted area of your transfer will show up as white when ironed on to your garment.
  • If you wish to add a background colour to match the colour of your garments – simply click the “Background” section at the bottom of the editor.
  • Use the colour selector to change the background colour of your transfer to whatever you want it to be!

 

Adding to cart
  • When you are happy with the way your transfer looks in the editor window – click add to cart to purchase it.
  • Select your desired quantity and then click add to cart and follow the checkout process!

*Please note – the image on your transfer will be printed to look exactly how it looks to you in the editor, we will not change it at all. 

If you want your image / text to fill the full size of the transfer area, please make the image / text fill the full size of the editor window.
